Why You Should Clean Your Garden Tools
Why You Should Clean Your Garden Tools
Although cleaning garden tools regularly (preferably after every use) is ideal, tending to trusty blades and spades prior to storage will help extend their life and effectiveness.   Leonard Perry, an extension professor at the University of Vermont who specializes in ornamental horticulture, floriculture and herbaceous perennial production, says regular maintenance helps preserve sharp edges on digging tools, prevents rust and removes soil that may have been contaminated by diseased plants. It also means a fresh start come spring.   The Nitty-Gritty   “All tools are important to clean, especially those made with metal because of the risk of rust,” says Shirley Bovshow, landscape and edible-garden designer and proprietor of EdenMakers Garden Design. “Tools with moving parts or joints are especially vulnerable because of the crevices that trap dirt and moisture.”   For trowels, spades, shovels and pruners, Bovshow advises the tried-and-true method of first cleaning away dirt and garden debris, then, after mixing motor oil into a 5-gallon bucket filled with sand — just enough to moisten the sand slightly — dipping the tools into the bucket and swirling them around a bit. “The grit of the sand will remove encrusted dirt,” Bovshow says. “And the motor oil will protect the metal from rust.”   The gardening gurus at the National Gardening Association offer an alternative method for deep cleaning: Soak the metal ends of tools in a tub or bucket of hot, soapy water for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse with water and dry each tool thoroughly. Once dry, use WD-40 to lubricate the metal blades of shears and pruners and the metal heads of other tools and wipe away the excess.   To condition wood handles, the NGA recommends smoothing out rough, splintery spots with medium-grained sandpaper, then rubbing with a small amount of linseed oil. The oil will aid in preserving the wood, reduce splintering and guard against rot.   Sanitize Pruners Frequently   “Pruners should be sanitized with convenient bleach wipes or sanitizing spray before using them on plants,” Bovshow says. “If you are pruning several plants, pruners should be sanitized in between plants to prevent the spread of diseases and bacteria.” Remove Rust   If rust has found its way onto your tools, the NGA suggests scrubbing the area with a bit of steel wool and a dab of Naval Jelly rust dissolver, which should be used only in well-ventilated areas. Rubber or plastic gloves and safety glasses should be worn when using the gel too, because it contains hazardous chemicals.   If this sounds more than a little scary, the gardening association has a second option: Use a stiff wire brush to get off as much rust as you can, then apply a rust-inhibiting primer and paint the tools according to product directions.   Obviously, preventing rust is always Plan A. To do this, keep tools clean, dry and stored away from moisture.   An Ounce of Prevention   Av...

World gross product of Dental Hand Tools Industry is forecast to expand by 2.7 per cent in 2017 and 2.9 per cent in 2018
World gross product of Dental Hand Tools Industry is forecast to expand by 2.7 per cent in 2017 and 2.9 per cent in 2018
The Global Dental Hand Tools Industry Situation and Prospects Research report is a professional and in-depth study on the current state of the Dental Hand Tools industry. In 2016, the world economy expanded by just 2.2 per cent, the slowest rate of growth since the Great Recession of 2009. Underpinning the sluggish global economy are the feeble pace of global investment, dwindling world trade growth, flagging productivity growth and high levels of debt. World gross product is forecast to expand by 2.7 per cent in 2017 and 2.9 per cent in 2018, with this modest recovery more an indication of economic stabilization than a signal of a robust and sustained revival of global demand. Given the close linkages between demand, investment, trade and productivity, the extended episode of weak global growth may prove self-perpetuating in the absence of concerted policy efforts to revive investment and foster a recovery in productivity. This would impede progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the goals of eradicating extreme poverty and creating decent work for all. Zhang Gaoli, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Scholars, experts, entrepreneurs, government officials and representatives of international organizations from home and abroad attended the opening ceremony.  Song Zhiping, chairman of China National Building Material Group, attended the forum at invitation and delivered a keynote speech at the Economic Summit with the theme of “New Trends of Global Distribution of the Manufacturing Industry”, and discussed with He Guorui, chairman of (United Technologies, Zhao Guohua, chairman of Schneider Electric, Xi Guohua, general manager of CRRC, Xu Lirong, chairman of China COSCO Shipping and Yu Yong, chairman of HBIS Group. The group discussion was chaired by US UL Company’s president Keith E. Williams.  Song Zhiping said, in terms of the global distribution of the manufacturing industry, China’s rapid rise is reshaping the global distribution of the manufacturing industry.  Now developing countries are speeding up the returning of the manufacturing industry, the US again attaches great importance to the real industry, Europe proposed re-industrialization and China launched the “Made in China 2025” strategy.  China’s manufacturing industry is also robustly developing, from low-end in the past to medium and high-end. On the other hand, Chinese enterprises’ tapping into the international market is inevitable.  In the past 30 years, Western developed countries wanted to open the Chinese market.  But nowadays, trade protectionism and counter-internationalization mentality are rising in some countries and regions.  China is facing the dual pressure from the returning of the high-end business to developed countries and the transfer of medium and low-end business to countries with lower costs. Judging from the global economic development process, Chinese enterprises’ tapping into the international market is inevitable.  Song expounded the three points very important for the development trend of China’s manufacturing industry. First, China should upgrade itself from a country with a big manufacturing industry into a country with a strong manufacturing industry. In the world’s economic rebalancing process, Chinese manufacturers should take the initiative to speed up their transformation, upgrading and innovative development. Second, Chinese enterprises should deep cooperation with global advanced enterprises.  Following the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, Chinese enterprises should tap into the international market with their quality equipment, tech...

Things to Consider in the Selection of a Spray Gun
Things to Consider in the Selection of a Spray Gun
Spray guns are essential tool needed on the application of finishing touches to furniture, and there are plenty of available diverse spray guns in the market to select from. Before buying any kind of spray guns that will suit to your need, you have to consider first some different procedures before purchasing this stuff.   You have to decide by yourself the total amount of spraying that you are planning to do. Majority of factories make use of airless spraying system that is very costly but also efficient and speedy. You may select spraying system that is less costly such as turbine HVLP (high-volume, low pressure) or a high-volume, low pressure compressor. Consider also the various tools that are already available in the shops. If you have a compressor or other devices which need a compressor to function, you have to get a compressor that is high-volume and a low pressure spray gun. Ensure that the compressor can able to create sufficient pound of air/ square inch (PSI) to give energy to a high-volume, low power spray gun. You have to verify the gun for its pound of air/square inch requirements. FORGE   You have to obtain an engine which is high- volume, low pressure system if you do not possess or you do not like to a compressor. Choose an engine which has 3 to 5 stages with six psi capability when you have the intention of spraying plain finishes. Choose the kind of bowl you desire for spray gun. The followings are the fundamental procedures in selecting spraying gun used in auto paint.   There are many selections among HVLP spraying guns for car paint. Initially, you are required to select between siphon-feed and gravity-feed spray guns. Gravity-feed gun for car paint keeps their supply of paint in the plunger. Hand Cultivator   Make a decision regarding your objectives. If you have a plan to coat a single car, your procurement decision matters if you have a plan to paint plenty of cars. Select high-volume, low pressure gun intended for car paint. HVLP (high-volume, low pressure) is a new equipment for car paints. This is well-organized, less risky for the environment and less disastrous to health. HVLP spray gun is preferable for car paint.   Siphon-feed spraying gun hoards their supply of paint below the nozzle. Spray guns which are gravity feed have significant benefits. Primarily, they utilizes about the entire paint, because all paints are consumed and there is nothing left in the base of the jug or container. Secondly, the design lets you see that easier the balance of the paint in the container and prevent spraying with the use of much air as well as insufficient paint. Lastly, it is frequently easier to operate in tense spaces and also tight location. It is really advisable to make use of spraying guns that gravity-feed.   If you have a limited budget, you can choose a toy gun having only one tip. Heavier paint id needed for bigger tips. If you are planning to apply a plain coating, it is then obvious tha...
